Describing Delhi Belly, hailed by most media types as a "sex comedy", Imran wishes to alter the perception over the Aamir Khan production."Delhi Belly is a crime caper comedy. There's a lot of crime, many capers and there is a lot to laught about. When I read the script, I knew it was one of the best ones that had come to me. This film is nothing close to what Aamir mamu has done until now."
Lauding writer Akshat Verma, Imran stated, "When we read the script, we decided to make this film and was sure that it wasn't meant for audiences below 18 years. We always saw it as an "Adults Only" film and decided to announce it as one when the right time came."
